The primary and unique feature to SiteTracker is the Path Reports which allows you to monitor where visitors entered your site and where they went. This can be extremely useful in improving usability and improving ROI. Everything else is very similar to the other providers including advertising, professional and simple look with upgrade options galore.
The Basic and free SiteTracker product keeps track of the last 7 days of detailed data. 7 days is typically enough information for the average website owner and knowing that upgrading is simple, easy and inexpensive allows you to try it before you drive it. It’s simple and reliable and free.

eXTReMe Tracking Review
eXTReMe Tracking is one of those, how’d they do that, site tracking solutions. What do I mean? Simply put, eXTReMe Tracking is a long list of information and you can scroll down to what you are interested in. By skipping the usability detail, eXTReMe Tracking is able to make sure all the data is available and trust that users will figure it out.
You’ll see lots of ads for webhosting which is probably how most of their money is made and you’ll notice that you can sign up to have your own tracking offering. How cool is that? Offer you own site tracking with the click of a button, worth a shot for 1 in 2000 businesses. Overall it works but isn’t pretty.

OneStat Review
OneStat Basic is in version 4.34 now and every update makes it better. At the free level you do see a lot of advertising for their other products but the professional display and interface make it just like checking your free email. My favorite thing about OneStat is the ease of set up and the ease of creating email reports weekly or monthly with whatever analytical overview you want.
Overall the OneStat offering is professional, fast and not as clunky as most of the other free site tracking providers and another big difference is the extra attention to detail in the user interface. It’s easy to click on Settings and block your IP from registering as a visit. It’s easy to add domains, account options and scripts. Another really great feature is the Events feature which allows you to add notes to any and all reports, data which is captured in future reporting (so you can remember why certain things happened or why certain days were busier than others. It’s free site tracking at its best.

Google Analytics Review
Google bought Urchin and now we have Google Analytics. What is there not to like about Google Analytics? It can be easily integrated with your AdWords account to allow for excellent CPA analysis and the mapping, data, information and usability is up to the same Google standard most people have grown accustomed to. Of course, it’s easy to feel information overload but with the simple interface and custom dashboard options it’s easy to avoid the scary parts of analytical data.
If you are afraid of Google knowing everything about you, your family, your business and your website then Google Analytics is not for you. It’s accessible with the same Google Login information as gmail, docs etc. BUT what better way to make sure Google is looking at your site than by using Google Analytics? It’s free, it’s easy and it’s Google.

SiteMeter Review
SiteMeter Basic is the free site tracking offering from SiteMeter.com. The overall product is eye catching, but doesn’t have to be. One of the more unique aspects of SiteMeter is the Traffic Estimator which looks at your historical site traffic and will give you expected traffic estimates for the coming hour, day, week and month. It’s fun to see bigger numbers sometimes.
SiteMeter’s free version is also home to a lot of advertising but the basic colors and ease of use keep it as a good option. One thing we recommend is to look at the paid version because if you like some of its offerings you’ll want to start with the free version and know you can always upgrade. The knowledge support center is useful and responses really to happen quickly.

CrazyEgg Review
Let’s simply start with “CrazyEgg is Awesome”. CrazyEgg isn’t your regular site tracking. The point in adding CrazyEgg tracking to your site is to allow you to learn the most you can about each element of your website. By offering an easy to understand and access heatmap (see below) and overlay (see below) you can’t help but learn which areas of your site are working and which are not.
CrazyEgg was developed with usability and success in mind. Everything is “Web 2.0″ and everything you do is based on tests (500 visitors to 10000 visitors) and the results are accessible via RSS or email notification so you can do simple A/B testing or just try moving the Buy Now button and see if more people click on it. In one sentence, CrazyEgg is Awesome.
